Company Overview

Mine Vision Systems (MVS) is dedicated to providing advanced workflow-integrated perception and automation systems which improve speed, safety and productivity for the mining industry. We are a spinout from Carnegie Mellon University’s National Robotics Engineering Center, and are headquartered in Pittsburgh but have employees working remotely across the world. We are recruiting people that thrive in the fast pace of a startup environment and seek the fulfillment that comes with driving and solving problems often independent of job descriptions. Following the successful product launch of our FaceCapture™ Mapping System, we are in a growth mode and we are seeking a Technical Services Geologist / Customer Support role. The right person will help inform and persuade prospective customers about the benefits of our technology and then support new and existing clients to effectively implement the system. This is a remote working position where the ideal candidate will be located in the Abitibi or neighboring regions, and will require 50% traveling to client sites both domestically and internationally.

Come join a team with an exciting product that helps Production geologists capture data more quickly, safely, and accurately than ever before possible. MVS’s first killer app, FaceCapture, is quickly gaining momentum in the mining industry as a valuable tool for face mapping. The system saves considerable time at the face and in the office for production geologists, while the data is more accurate and quickly and easily exported into all Mine Planning and Geologist software packages for modeling. Surveyors can also use the data for Volumetric calculations and daily tasks, making it an extremely useful product that mines are eager to adopt.
